CORPORATE INFORMATION

AIA Pension and Asset Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIA PAM), is the fund management arm of AIA Bhd, one of the two life insurance companies awarded the Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) licence by the Securities Commission Malaysia. AIA PAM launched four PRS funds on 16 May 2013 to further augment AIA Bhd’s comprehensive suite of products that aims to provide for the protection, savings and retirement needs of its over 2.6 million individual life and employee benefits customers. As at 30 June 2013, AIA PAM had a paid-up capital of RM28 million.

Investment Objective The fund seeks to provide returns through income* that is consistent with capital preservation**.

* Income will be reinvested in additional units in the fund.

** The fund is not capital guaranteed nor capital protected.

Fund Category Core (Conservative).
Investment Strategy The fund will invest at least 80% of its net asset value (“NAV”) in fixed income instruments and money market instruments, of which a minimum of 20% of the fund’s NAV will be invested in money market instruments. The remainder of the fund’s NAV will be invested in equities offering a dividend yield above the market average. The fund will only invest locally.
Asset Allocation Fixed income instruments and money market instruments At least 80% of the fund’s NAV, of which a minimum of 20% of the fund’s NAV will be invested in money market instruments
Equities Up to 20% of the fund’s NAV

Member Profile Members who:

  • are seeking returns through income* that is consistent with capital preservation** over the medium to long term*** period; and
  • have a low risk appetite.

For members under the default option who are 50 years old and above, their contributions will be allocated into the fund.

Investment Objective The fund seeks to provide returns through a combination of income* and capital growth.

* Income will be reinvested in additional units in the fund.

Fund Category Core (Moderate)
Investment Strategy The fund will invest in equities that are trading below their fair value and equities offering a dividend yield above the market average. The fund will invest in local and foreign markets. The fund will also invest at least 40% of its net asset value (“NAV”) in local fixed income instruments with a minimum credit rating of “BBB3” or “P2” by Rating Services Berhad or equivalent rating by Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad.
Asset Allocation Equities Up to 60% of the fund’s NAV
Local fixed income instruments At least 40% of the fund’s NAV
Performance Benchmark 30% FBM 100 Index + 30% MSCI AC Asia ex-Japan Index + 40% Quant Shop MGS All Bond Index.
Member Profile Members who:

  • are seeking returns over the medium to long term* period; and
  • have a moderate risk appetite.

For members under the default option who have attained the age of forty (40) years but are not yet fifty (50) years old, their contributions will be allocated into this fund.

Investment Objective The fund seeks to provide returns through capital growth.
Fund Category Core (Growth)
Investment Strategy The fund will invest in local and foreign equities with a bias towards equities with potential for growth. The fund will also invest at least 30% of its net asset value (“NAV”) in local fixed income instruments with a minimum credit rating of “BBB3″ or “P2″ by Rating Services Berhad or equivalent rating by Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad.
Asset Allocation Equities Up to 70% of the fund’s NAV
Local fixed income instruments At least 30% of the fund’s NAV
Performance Benchmark 35% FBM 100 Index + 35% MSCI AC Asia ex-Japan Index + 30% Quant Shop MGS All Bond Index.
Member Profile Members who:

  • are seeking returns over the medium to long term* period; and
  • have a moderate to high level of risk appetite.

For members under the default option who are below the age of 40 years, their contributions will be allocated into the fund.

Investment Objective The fund seeks to provide returns through a combination of income* and capital growth from a portfolio that is consistent with Shariah principles.

*Income will be reinvested in additional units in the fund.

Fund Category Balanced.
Investment Strategy The fund will invest in a Shariah-compliant portfolio comprising equities with potential for growth and equities that are trading below their fair value. The fund will also invest at least 40% of its net asset value (“NAV”) in sukuk and Islamic money market instruments with a minimum credit rating of “BBB3” or “P2” by Rating Services Berhad or equivalent rating by Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad. The fund will only invest locally.
Asset Allocation Shariah-compliant equities At least 40% and a maximum of 60% of the fund’s NAV
Sukuk and Islamic money market instruments At least 40% of the fund’s NAV
Performance Benchmark 60% FBM EMAS Shariah Index + 40% Quant Shop GII All Index.
Member Profile Members who:

Sales charge (*) Up to 3.00% of NAV per unit.
Redemption charge Nil.
Switching fee (between funds in this Scheme) (*) No charges for the first two (2) switches in each calendar year. RM25 will be imposed for all subsequent switches after the first two (2) switches in each calendar year.
Transfer fee (to another PRS provider) (*) RM25 for each transfer request.
Annual management fee (*) Up to 1.50% per annum of the NAV of the fund.
Annual scheme trustee fee (*) 0.04% per annum of the NAV of the fund.
Annual PPA administration fee (*) 0.04% per annum of the NAV of the fund.
(*) Effective 1 April 2015, Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be applicable to the fees stipulated above.
